A True Story:

“A Second Chance.”

Young Entrepreneur.

When I was 7 years old I emptied the fishing lures out of my tackle box, and asked my mom to buy me some Kiwi Black and Brown Shoe polish.  With some white rags and a cardboard sign that said: “Shoe Shine .25 cents”, I walked into the local barber shop in House Springs, Mo and asked the old barber if he needed a shoe shine boy.  That was my first business. I really enjoyed making shoes shine!

In thinking back over your life, is there a happy time that you would love to go back and re-live? Kind of a “Second Chance?” We rarely get to do that in life. I am getting a second chance at doing something I really love to do.

A Dream Come True!

In 1975 when I was 18 years old, I got married.  My wife and I decided to start a cleaning business.  Our  first account was washing the windows at a Rexall Pharmacy for $9.00.  Our next job was waxing the floors at the P.N. Hirsch Dept. Store. (If you recognize those names….your old!) My dream was to have a successful carpet cleaning business. From those humble beginnings we worked night and day to build a company called: Pioneer Carpet Cleaning.

For the next 28 years my wife and two sons worked together in our family business.  I loved it!! Kind of like “shining shoes”, I really enjoyed making dirty carpets look new again!! Those were some of the best years of my life.

The End.

Well it’s not the end of the story, but after 28 years my wife and I divorced and with the end of the marriage came the end of Pioneer Carpet Cleaning.  For the next several years I went on to do other things to make a living, but my heart was in the carpet cleaning business. Every time I saw a carpet cleaning van parked in someone’s driveway, I missed going into a home with dull, tired carpet and making it “shine” again!!

My “second chance” came one day in 2018 when I decided to start: Cardinal Carpet & Air Duct Cleaning.

I Look Forward To Serving You!

I am having the time of my life!  Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I feel so blessed and excited to be doing what I truly enjoy with the support and love of two grown sons and now four beautiful grandchildren.

I believe we all enjoy being around people we like, know and trust.  I also believe if we enjoy what we do we’ll do it very well.  My goal with every person I serve is to exceed their expectations.  Knowing what people want and proving it for them whether it’s shining shoes or making a dirty carpet look new is what I love to do!  I would like to share this opportunity of “getting a second chance” with you!
